One way I’ve tried to stay fired up for God’s heart for the nations to hope in Christ is by praising Him in different languages. To help with this, I put together a playlist of 150 songs curated from around the world.

Most of the songs will hopefully be familiar to English speakers. The list includes plenty of hymns, choruses and anthems from the Gettys, Sovereign Grace, Emu Music, Hillsong, Joshua Band and others. There’s our multilingual contribution from Badminton Road, and a song produced by the RICE Movement. I’ve also included contributions from multiethnic artists like The Ethnos Project, Gilbert Hovsepian, and even some local Kiwi contributions such as the Teeks and Daniel&Ashley. That way, I’ve been able to sing along even if I don’t know the language.

Languages represented include Bahasa Indonesia, Deutsch (German), French, Gailge (Irish), Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, 中文, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Thai, Vietnamese, Zulu and more.

I’ve found it helpful to pray for friends and family from different parts of the world as I hear praises in their heart language. You could also just enjoy it as background music, or play it while your church is hosting a missions night. I hope you enjoy it!
